Prince Louismay be set for a royal first!
While Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8, have accompanied their parents at royal events for several years, 5-year-old Prince Louis is only recently old enough for such outings.
Some signs that Prince Louis will be at this year’s carol concert include his attendance at some major events over the past few months. Although George and Charlotteattended the annual Christmas Day church outing with the royalsfor the first time in 2019, Louismade his debutat the royal staple just last year.

Prince Louis also attended the biggest event on the royal calendar in recent years: his grandfatherKing Charles’coronationin May!
He joined his parents and Princess Charlotte for the procession into Westminster Abbey, adorably holding hands with his big sister. (Prince George entered apart from the rest of his family as he was acting as a Page of Honor to his grandfather along with three other boys.)
Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte took in the spectacle of the crowning ceremony together, quietly whispering when something caught their attention. But in a relatable moment, Prince Louis was caught on camera letting out abig yawn. Although heleft the crowning ceremony for a small portion, a move that was likely planned.

Although Princess Kate’s Christmas concert was confirmed over the weekend, royal watchers got a major clue to the event’s date last month when the royal family’s Royal.UK website shared the event under upcoming engagements forPrince Richardand Birgitte, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
At the inauguralRoyal Carols: Together At Christmasconcert on Dec. 8, 2021, Kate surprised viewers with her first public piano performance. The royal hit the keys to accompanyTom Walkeras he sang “For Those Who Can’t Be Here.”
“Music was very important to the [then] Duchess during the lockdowns,” a royal source said at the time. “She also recognizes the powerful way in which music brings people together — especially during difficult times. For these reasons, she was keen to be part of Tom’s performance in this way.”
Though the Princess of Wales didn’t play piano at the 2022 show at Westminster Abbey last Dec. 15, the festive event was again held to bring together members of the royal family with charity staff, community volunteers, frontline workers, military personnel and more to “celebrate the joythat human connection can bring,” Buckingham Palace said in a release at the time.
