Keke Palmeris breaking records!
The media personality, 30, won an Emmy for outstanding host for a game show for NBC’sPasswordat the 75th Creative ArtsEmmy Awardson Sunday — becoming the first woman to do so in 15 years.
Palmer — who wore a brown halterneck gown on the evening — continued, “I want to thank the people who allowed this to happen, thank you to Jimmy Fallon, thank you to NBC.”
Meanwhile, Fallon, 49, also heaped praise on Palmer, per Deadline. “Sharp, charming and quick-witted all while looking like a superstar. There’s no one like Keke Palmer,” he said.

This year was the first time the category has been part of the Primetime Emmys after moving from the Daytime awards. Palmer is also the first black woman to win the award or even be nominated.
She was announced as the new host ofPassword,along withJimmy Fallon, as the classic word game show was brought back with a host of celebrity guests in 2022.

The star also shared her happiness via anInstagram poston Sunday.
“Couldn’t do it without you @jimmyfallon!” she wrote in the caption. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of such a classic game show such as Password. It’s a true honor, I won! I’m excited, BOOTS! Thank you to the@televisionacad✨.”
The actress and host posted photos of her holding up her award proudly at the ceremony alongside her message.
Palmer received the Emmy award ahead of fellow nomineesSteve Harvey(Family Feud), Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik (Jeopardy!), and Pat Sajak (Wheel of Fortune).
The last woman to win for the same category was Meredith Vieira forWho Wants to be a Millionaire?in 2009. This year marks the first timePasswordhas been nominated in 50 years, after Allen Ludden first won for the show at the first-ever Daytime Emmy Awards back in 1974.
