Yesterday , a sweeping power outage left six million hoi polloi without power in the Southwest — including a huge swath of San Diegans . The result ? An Emerald City that shined in patches , not flares . And it ’s really kind of beautiful .
Also fun : turn out that the outage was the fault of a single electric doer for Arizona service program APS . He apparently transfer the wrong monitoring equipment at the incorrect time , which set off a domino effect that strain as far as , well , San Diego . Power has since been restored in most area , but the metropolis might require to coordinate a lights out night again some time before long .
