Based on a coup d’oeil at the book’sWikipedia page , I sense sure-footed in say the show does n’t have unlike timeline — this is n’t a multiverse , thank good — but different storylines which are set in different times during and after the pandemic . Presumably , the show will bounce back and onward between them just as the book does , to reveal some surprising link .
To be fair to Station Eleven the novel , it was write in 2014 , so I ca n’t really hold its content thing against it . ( Besides , I ’m assured by the most esteemed of colleagues that the book is quite good . ) And in fairness to Station Eleven the boob tube series , it also looks quite good , if somewhat baffling . ( If you bechance to coincidentally have read the book ’s plot summary on Wikipedia , things make marginally more horse sense . ) But man oh humanity do I have less desire than ever to watch a goggle box series that revolves around a global pandemic . Hell , I do n’t even like the global pandemic I ’m living in !
