I do n’t think it ’s a surprise to anyone that one of the first clips from the extended Blu - shaft of light version of Suicide Squad has to do with Jared Leto ’s method work , since that was by far the most interesting matter about the motion-picture show .
Leto ’s justification that he needed to find new thing in the Joker so he could give his own twisting on the characters is … whatever . Mostly the segment is about how much it pull in him ( “ That side of me that likes exploration , that like adventure , that likes to push the envelope , that was coiffe on attack immediately , ” he says . )
But more interesting is Ayer pronounce what the lot lost and clear by Leto ’s acting choice :

So during the cognitive operation of figuring out the Joker and helping Jared create that fiber , I kinda had to say goodbye to Jared . There was a point when he went aside and was substitute slowly and certainly by the Joker . It was a riveting process to watch . There was this really nice guy , a good guy with a destiny of deepness to him , he ’s a very thoughtful person … the Joker is not someone you ’d say is a really in force guy .
Would you say a “ really nice , good guy ” does n’t make a choice that terrorizes his coworkers ? I ’m not the director and I ’m not one of the player , I do n’t know . I also wonder how many mass on the lot knew this is what they ’d be in for when they contain the job .
