The astronauts of Expedition 40 are continuing to have way too much fun . My highlights this week are Reid Wiseman fetch his downlike giraffe into the cupola , accidentally seek to dump a bag out by toss it over , and realizing that express joy so hard you cry is tricky when teardrop do n’t fall in microgravity .
For this week ’s edition of , “ How awesome is Reid Wiseman ? ” , theenthusiastic astronautis physically adapt to space , but psychologically has a second of catch up to do . Not only that , but geophysicist - spaceman Alex Gerst is getting into the spirit with his own space station picture taking .

Feeling peachy today . Hunger is finally back in force which is a huge convinced step in weightless adaptation .

But physically adapting does n’t mean his mind has entirely adjusted to this whole microgravity - thing . But with Wiseman , even fail - moments are adorable :

Still correct to zero g. Just toss a bag upside down to plunge out the contents.#doesntworkhere

Although only a few days later , he had a handgrip on the whole , “ waitress a moment , microgravity make the farfetched possible!”super - Hulk mo :

The moonshine is terribly punishing to distinguish in this next photo , but regain an unimpressed case in the station is downright well-off . Is someone playing Vandal center in blank ? That ’s just telling !

Life aboard the place is busy , with every cosmonaut playing different roles as the day wears on . On Wednesday , Wiseman gave us a peek at a typical day of play as a scientist , maintenance man , and lensman at different times :

Of course Reid is n’t in orbit all by his lonesome . Geophysicist Alex Gerst is also get fun , twitch as @Astro_Alex . Like Wiseman last workweek , he , too , value that from the space post , it ’s leisurely to see the Earth is round .

He ’s also flummox the hang of artistic shots , like this one of his home for the next half a year :

And beleaguer thatexercise on the blank station is inherently a wee moment surreal :
tend around the world

I ’m moderately certainly Reid is directly daring io9 to notice his provender with this shot :

while Alex is trollingJalopnikwith this one :
We do n’t have a garage for it , but once in a while even astronauts like to admire their fomite . Just like that 😉 pic.twitter.com/l4CaAJVHmd

But by the ending of the first hebdomad , everything was feeling downright normal :
7 day ago the sentiment of being in space gave me chill of inflammation . Now it seems altogether normal . curious feeling .
I love the way the river and delta shine , brilliantly reflecting sun :

Of naturally , vent are always awesome . These ones arepicturesque stratovolcanoes , steep symmetrical conoid .

I ’m becoming haunt with volcanoes , and for dear reason . Chile.pic.twitter.com/NEmRcFUjSx
Overall , it sounds like they ’re having a quite a little of playfulness :
Laughed so hard I cry yesterday during dinner party with@msuraev@astro_alex . Tears do n’t tend down your cheeks in distance .

If you want to spiel along with Reid at domicile , attempt to espy the space station going overhead at Nox . They ’re mappingyour reply .
I ’m trying to limit the astronaut - tweet - spamming to once per week , but it feels like the plowshare - desirable tweets never end . What ’s your right to vote ? We ’ve got six months of Wiseman - in - orbit ; are you going to get mad of his pleasure ?
