A Georgia man has been arrested over the murder ofNat King Cole’s great-nephew in Atlanta.
According to apress releasefrom the APD, Cole and Gayle knew each other. “APD homicide investigators determined that the incident was not a random act; the victim Tracy Cole, and suspect Ricardo Gayle, were confirmed to be familiar with each other,” the release read.

He was was stabbed multiple times in the neck, chest and head before being taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Tracy was reportedly a long-time member of the Cascade United Methodist Church in Atlanta, and last month Senior Pastor Kevin Murriel paid a heartfelt tribute to him following his death.
“Tracy had that personality that just really transcended culture, it transcended race, it transcended class,” Muriel toldFox 5 Atlanta. “Tracy made a friend of everyone. He was family. He was more than a young man in the community. He was that child who walked the floors and aisles of the church. He just brought an abundance of joy everywhere he went.”
Family friend Camille Love also remembered Tracy as a “good guy.”
