Ellie Kemperis reflecting on her high school years — and her connection toJon Hamm!
“Jon Hamm is a generous, selfless kind of guy,” Kemper, 43, said on an episode ofAndy Cohen’sAndy Cohen Liveon Sirius XM. “I reached out to him when I was doing my one-person show. A little comedy show. I had my little suitcase of props. I was doing this one-person show in Los Angeles, and at that time, he was already famous onMad Men.”
Kemper continued, “I emailed him from our high school directory. I said, ‘Hey, I’m doing this show. I know you’re really busy, but it’d be great if you could come.’ And he came, and that’s when I really reconnected with him.”

Of the kindness Hamm, 52, displayed, theOfficealum added: “I mean, that’s a class act, right? He’s a good guy.”
Cohen then butted in with a correction, saying, “Excuse me, he’sgreatlooking.”
Kemper had to agree. “He is, in fact, great looking,” she said, even using the word “dreamy.”

Hamm has also spoken about his time teaching Kemper while jointly speaking withEntertainment Weeklyin 2013. “You were in ninth grade, and this is a class that had everyone from ninth grade to seniors in it — so you were on the young end of the spectrum,” Hamm told Kepmer at the time. “And yet, I remember you being very good.”
“I think there’s still a teacher-student dynamic, and acting with him was a little bit nerve-racking just because I felt like he was still grading me on some level,” she added. “But he’s a wonderful man and it was a lot of fun.”
