The time I require to get a baseball cricket bat , go to an Apple store , and startle smashing every genius in their non - centered genitals as retribution for this deed of typographical terrorist act .

THE PROBLEM
But I digress . The trouble with the off - mall 1 goes back to the very beginning of the iPhone . For some reason , Apple decided to utilise the bounding box to center the digits in the Calendar.app ’s icon instead of cautiously setting them to be optically center . So what , you ask ? You do n’t have to be a hawk - eyed wiz to see the difference :
The deviation is obvious . Despite its bounding corner being metrically centered in carnal knowledge to the icon , the number 1 feels off - middle . The example on the right demo the correct positioning — the 1 feels optically revolve around , balanced in relation to the icon .
Does this matter ? Not unless you are some particular - obsessed twunt like me .
I had hoped that iOS 7 would fixate this , but it did n’t . And in fact the lite typography make the uncollectible placement even more obvious , like you’re able to see in the image at the top of this article .
If you are reading this , whoever you are at Apple UI design ’s department , please , please fix this for the sexual love of all that is hallowed and unspoiled and made of deep fried rainbow Roger Bacon Twinkie . I ca n’t stand it anymore and I ’ve pass out of pills .

ReaderBackhomerendered it . The right fashion is the one on the rightfulness . Notice how the 1 ’s prow is not centered in relation to the blanched region , neither is its bounding corner . And yet , the number count enjoyably centered in relation to the icon surface . The wit makes it work just like the one in the left front like Irish bull compared to the right one to anyone with middle except the most fanatical and brainless of all the Apple fanboys .
