Christina Miliandiscovered a different side of herself when she became a mother, and she continues to have an adventurous spirit as she raises her three kids: Violet, Isaiah and Kenna.

The singer-songwriter welcomed her daughter Violet with fellow artist The-Dream (whose real name is Terius Nash) in February 2010, shortly after they eloped in Las Vegas the previous fall. Thoughthey splita few months later, Milian said the experience taught her a great deal.

“I learned a lot about myself this year [2010],” she toldLatinamagazine (viaBelfast Telegraph) when Violet was nearly 1 year old. “I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am.”

The singers announced the birth of their first child together, son Isaiah, in January 2020 and celebrated the arrival of their second son, Kenna, in April 2021.

Now, as a family of five, the actress enjoys watching her daughter and sons grow into individuals.

“Thanking God everyday I get to wake up to my beautiful babies,” she wroteon Instagramin 2022. “Each one with their own personalities and way of showing love.”

Milan and The-Dream welcomed their first and only child together, Violet Madison Nash, on Feb. 26, 2010. She weighed 6 lbs., 10 oz. and had “a full head of hair," PEOPLE reported at the time.

Months later, the “Dip It Low” singer opened up about her parenthood experience toLatinamagazine.

“Being a new mother definitely makes me feel so much sexier than ever before,” she told the outlet (viaBelfast Telegraph). “There’s a certain responsibility that I carry being a mom that makes me feel very confident and so blessed. Being a mom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

When the project premiered in 2010, Violet was shy of turning 5 years old, and Milian described her to PEOPLE as “crazy, funny [and] really sarcastic.”

As for how her daughter changed her life, the “AM to PM” songstress shared on the show, “The second that she was born, it was, like, instantly I became a child again. It’s like I see the world with new eyes.”

In more recent years, the mother-daughter duo have taken unexpected moments in stride, including homeschooling during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m actually having agreat time working with herand going over her school stuff,” Milian told PEOPLE in 2020.

Around the same time, theBring It On: Fight to the Finishalum was also filmingWhat Happens at Home with Christina Milian, a Facebook show that shared insight into how she was doing under lockdown. The limited series featured Violet, whose personality “really [shone].”

“She’s just a light bulb — when she turns on, she turns on. She’s so funny,” the mom of three said. “I love that she can really express herself and have fun, and doesn’t feel uncomfortable.”

Meanwhile, Violet is as close to Pokora whohas called herhis “first child.” Despite how much she’s grown, though, he’ll always give her a few reminders. “Time flies!!! Love you forever. (Means i’ll forever be a pain when it comes to clean your room, eat healthy, wake up early etc… 😬),” he wrote for her birthdayon Instagramin 2022.

TheFalling Inn Lovestar announced the newson Instagramwith a black-and-white photo of the newborn holding her finger. “And so we begin. Simply perfect.The world is yours Son,” she captioned it.

A few months later, Milian spoke with PEOPLE about giving birth amid the COVID-19 pandemic, saying she was grateful to have time with her family.

Leading up to welcoming Isaiah, Milian revealed that Violet was looking forward to being a hands-on big sister.

“I’ve got a little mini-mom on the side that’s gonna help me out,” she toldPEOPLE Nowin 2019 before sharing a similar sentiment about Pokora. “He’s super excited. We’ll figure it out. I definitely know I can count on him to be very helpful.”

Since then, the songwriter has shared glimpses of Isaiah’s childhood. She posts aboutplaces he’s visitedand his major milestones, likehis first day of schoolin 2023.

“So happy to witness the smart little witty things you say, love your affection, how easy it is for you to say ‘I love you,' " she captioned the post. “I’m always reminded just how precious this time is. We love you. We will always be there for you.”

Milian and Pokora welcomed their second child together, son Kenna, on April 24, 2021.

Several months after the couple announced the arrival of Isaiah, they found out they wereexpecting again— a fact that Milian acknowledged in her third birth announcement.

TheResort to Lovestar added, “Thank you my @mattpokora for being the best partner/dad/ best friend a woman could ask for. You’re a king in my eyes.”

Fast forward, it seems like Kenna has managed to keep up with his older siblings, whose mom immediately recognized him as “energetic.“In a clipposted on his second birthday, he’s seen dancing, playing basketball and enjoying himself at fun outings next to his sister and brother.
