In “ Corto Maltese , ” we finally see a central fictional character in the Arrow universe revealed for who they really are , even though they ’re never on screen . And it ’s so very satisfying . discover who the ( probable ) villain will be this season .

Ollie convinces her of a few things . The first is that her true “ father ” is the man who loved her and raised her . The 2nd is that that Father-God down himself so that his son could live , think that both of their real parents sacrifice themselves so that their kids could lead happy lives , sooner together . Mia come to her senses , partially . She has a very cool affaire d’honneur with her biological dad for her right to go home , but does n’t seem to take his promise that he ’ll see her soon as the threat that it is .
Laurel Meets ( Baby ) Ted
Those who distinguish Wildcat as a boxer in the first installment have good eyes , and should be at least part gratified to see that he ’s back . Unfortunately , instead of a crusty father - figure , he ’s a young red-hot bagger . ( As the wholesale whipping of parents in both the superhero genre and the CW musical style shows us , it ’s better to be dead than sure-enough . ) Ted Grant run into Laurel when she ’s asking about a burglary commit by one of his scholarly person . He gives a false alibi and a real personality appraisal . Laurel , he say , is burn with rage .

Guess who helped Laurel find the abusive boyfriend ? The same woman who avail everyone find everyone . Felicity spend her first day at her young problem working for her friends . ( Well , she pass her first few minute of the twenty-four hours re - enact the last scene from Working Girl . You know the one where Melanie Griffith walks in expecting to be an helper to an executive in an power , and finds out that she ’s actually the executive director and the person in the office is her assistant . fuck that scene . Sadly , there ’s no Harrison Ford in this , but Brandon Routh is still really working for me as Ray Palmer . )
Throughout the day , Felicity puts off Ray as she finds people for the Arrow squad : Thea , the abusive fellow , and this cat , Shaw , that Digg is looking up for Lyla . More on Shaw later . For now , we just enjoy Felicity dubiously asking Laurel , “ Are we ‘ favour ’ friends ? Are we even acquaintance ? ” We also enjoy Ray Palmer take all of this like a champ , although he gets his money ’s deserving . Felicity manages to extract information from a destroyed Tech Something at the hold weapons science lab that the Arrow Team flunk last time of year . As felicitousness leave for a few days , because it ’s only right for Arrow ’s practiced fictional character to go give her blessing to the cast of The Flash , Ray sees the weapons information that Felicity has excavate . I expect something will add up of that .

And now to Shaw . Shaw is an agent of ARGUS . He ’s gone off the grid in Corto Maltese and Digg is tracking him down for Lyla . turn out Shaw is tracking down a lose list of ARGUS agent that is going to be deal to a occult Mr. Armitage . Oh wait , Shaw is actually the one doing the selling . When Digg find out , he gets tasered in the dresser , and it takes the whole Arrow team , including Roy , to stop the sale of the list .
When Digg , furious that his nipper ’s life was in danger , corner Shaw , Shaw express mirth at the estimate that he was doing it for the money . He was doing it to get off from ARGUS . He recount Digg that Digg “ does n’t know ” Amanda Waller , and does n’t know “ the somebody she turns you into . ” He then implore Digg to kill him , or say he died , rather than turn him over to ARGUS .
Yes ! ultimately ! I ’ve been sound off about Amanda Waller since she debuted , and for good reason . From blowing up a cat ’s head teacher as he ’s driving through a crowded city to trying to murder 500,000 masses in an ineffective architectural plan to kill 50 supersoldiers , she has been nothing but wickedness from the moment we ’ve envision her . And now that Arrow seems to be acknowledging that immorality , I am o.k. with that . Amanda Waller as a savvy anti - Hero of Alexandria , doing what needs to be done ? Ridiculous . Amanda Waller as the big gaffer , the psychotic manslayer entrenched in a system of superpower and corruption ? Amazing ! Perfect ! Get everyone together and take her down ! I ca n’t waitress !
Oh , and at the death of the episode Nyssa show up to set up the episode for next week . That ’s gon na be interesting .
