briefly after midnight on Wednesday , two DC airliners approached Washington DC ’s Reagan National Airport . They await for guidance from air traffic control . And hold back . And waited . And waited . They never got a response .
The two archetype — responsible for the rubber of a combined 165 passengers — manage to land only by coordinating between themselves , giving each other even position updates and confirming with their airlines which rails they were supposed to near . A third airplane was able to shoot down a one-half hour afterward , only after ATC had been furbish up .
