This fantastical simulacrum add up good manners of NASA’sSolar Dynamics Observatory . It depicts a brilliant array of “ coronal loop , ” magnetised fluxes whichform around sunspotsandextend into the solar atmosphere .
More fromNASA :
The Atmospheric Imaging Assembly ( AIA ) instrument aboard NASA’sSolar Dynamics Observatory(SDO ) images the solar aura in multiple wavelength to link changes in the surface to internal changes . Its data includes images of the Lord’s Day in 10 wavelengths every 10 second . When AIA images are sharpened a bit , such as this AIA 171Å channel image , the magnetised plain can be readily visualized through the bright , slender strands that are called “ coronal loop . ”

Loops are show here in a blended overlay with the charismatic field as valuate with SDO ’s Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager underneath . Blue and yellow represent the diametrical polarity of the magnetic subject area . The fuse prototype were taken on Oct. 24 , 2014 , at 23:50:37 UT .
